DESCRIPTION:https://www.roadhouseroosters.com/home \nWe are the Roadhouse Roosters and hail from the northern suburbs of the “Big Apple”\, aka New York city. As a trio\, we play an up tempo\, boogie and blues repertoire that’s heavy on slide guitar\, electric and acoustic\, and designed to keep ourselves and the audience from ever getting bored. We specialize in doing our own arrangements of interesting cover tunes as well as our own originals. It all started in 2011 when Joel Smith [vocals\, lead and slide guitars] approached Rick Greenop [vocals\, bass guitar] with the idea of making the occasional Saturday night a bit more interesting. Now with Chris Rottkamp performing percussion duties\, we are now rocking it for all it’s worth. We continue to record our original tunes at Ken Eichler’s Sliding Door studio in New Rochelle N.Y.\, a state of the art facility\,  that have aired on DJ Wendee’s blues show\, and later on dj Christine Vitale’s show\, both on Fairleigh Dickinson’s WFDU 89.1 fm radio station out of Jersey city. Heavily influenced by Johnnie Winter and other great blues men of the past\, we try to give the listeners a rocking good time when they come out to a live show.

DESCRIPTION:The Other Band enjoyed a successful career from 1987-2001\, where we became one of the most sought-after bar bands in the Hudson Valley. After Receiving radio airplay and accolades from the press for our 1990 studio release\, we played relentlessly\, including venues large and small\, with some personnel changes\, until we disbanded in early 2001.\n\nIn the summer of 2011\, after more than 10 years apart\, The Other Band reunited with original members James Ratner\, Rob Friedland and Dave Mucci. We enlisted Sax player Greg Fiske to round out the new line up. And so… we are back! In 2014\, we were rejoined by our drummer in the late ’90’s\, Gary Pellegrino. In Sept 2015\, our original keyboardist\, Dana Gabrielsen\, rejoined The Other Band\, helping us to continue our growth and improve our sound and versatility. After 4 years since our reunion tour\, or re-energized fan base and list of clubs and venues continues to grow!

DESCRIPTION:Southern born\, Northern raised \, Dylan Doyle has been steeped in everything from Bob Dylan\, Wes Montgomery\, and Bill Withers to John Prine\, Jimi Hendrix\, and The Band.  From this comes a unique musical interpretation that lies somewhere within the delta of Roots\, Rock\, and Jazz\, giving him a style that defies classification. \nTouring nationally since age 15\, Dylan became a seasoned professional at a very young age.  He has played with such notable musicians Rob Stoner (Bob Dylan\, Don Mclean)\, John Platania (Van Morrison\, Natalie Merchant)\, Ben Cauley (Otis Redding) and Bill Payne (Little Feat).  Stoner called Dylan one of the most prodigious players he has known with abundant natural talent.  John Platania has referred to Dylan as “The Future.”  Ben Cauley\, after playing with Dylan in Memphis said\, “Dylan Doyle sounds like a young Jimi Hendrix.”  In the words of Bill Payne upon sharing the stage\, “Music is a conversation.  Dylan spoke beautifully and was listening to the musicians around him.  His play was imaginative and original.” \nAttesting to Dylan’s versatility\, Dylan has played the King Biscuit Blues Festival three consecutive years as well headlining the Grateful Garcia Gathering\, the largest Grateful Dead festival in the Midwest.

DESCRIPTION:Snapper and Ken have been playing the blues since the late ’60’s. We started our journey during high school in Cornwall\, NY. After graduation we set off on our own paths and lost contact for 35 years or so. We reconnected again around 2009 (thank you Facebook) and began planning. Eventually Ken moved back to the Hudson Valley and it was game on. Enlisting the help of Avery (Ken’s son) on drums and Matt Dowden on bass the Sidemen began to take form. It’s a really interesting mix of musicians. Two players in their 60’s and two players in their 20’s. Lots of fun\, energy and learning in every direction.
